August, and a New Exhibit

It is hard to believe how fast the summer is passing. Didn't we just celebrate its arrival?

Today, August 3, marks the beginning of the second ArtSpace exhibit on the UTSA Virtual Campus. Two artists show their work here until the beginning of October: Betty Tureaud and Laoin Xaris.

Betty's colorful 3D art is immersive and interactive, with a sense of playfulness. The piece inside the gallery is the teleport to the exhibit in the sky. Laoin's real life photography exhibit showcases abstract imagery that captures the beauty in the everyday objects that surround us. The work of the two artists in some ways are counterpoints to each other, which we invite our visitors to explore on their own terms.

Please join us today, at 1 pm SLT, for the grand opening of the exhibit. Musical entertainment will be provided by d-o-o-b, one of the most sought-after DJs in SL.
